The Ontario Sustainable Energy Association (OSEA) in partnership with the World Wind Energy Association (WWEA) presents the 7th Annual World Wind Energy Conference “Community Power: Energy Autonomy for Local Economies”. This unparalleled event will be hosted by St Lawrence College in Kingston, Ontario on June 24 - 26 2008.

A specially priced Community Power (CP) Workshop Series at WWEC2008 has been designed to complement the special theme on “Community Power” and educate individual landowners, First Nations, non-profits, farmers, cooperatives, eNGOs and municipalities interested in developing Renewable Power projects.
The 4-day CP workshop stream address community ownership & partnership models, financing renewable energy projects, policies supporting community-based project development, technical & management challenges, and capacity building. Participation in the CP Workshop Series is limited!

Confirmed Keynote Speakers include internationally renowned climate change advocate and educator Dr. David Suzuki and Dr. Hermann Scheer, the author of "Energy Autonomy", German Parliamentary member and one of Time Magazine's "Heroes for the Green Century".
Hear from over 100 speakers and 60 poster presenters who have been invited to participate at WWEC2008, from 20 countries around the world. Panel topics include Innovative Policy Tools and International Power Policy, Governance Planning, Technology Advances and Turbine Design, Rural Electrification, Wind Resource Assessment, Offshore Technology, Overcoming Perception Barriers, and more.
